Sorry men… Arthur’s Hall of Viking Manliness is down, it’s gone, closed, almost certainly forever. Our former leader decided to step away from his role of “Head Viking”, and we are now Vikingless. We are grateful for the community he built over the last six years, but it is time now to move on. His articles from “The Hall” are gone, but the community still exists, and so does the database from the old Viking Forum.Since the death of Arthur’s Hall, we’ve gathered core members from the Hall of Viking Manliness and are now setting out on our own with a new site and ever-so-slightly new direction. For one thing, the new site will be more of a traditional blog format. We will still have long-form articles like the old site, but we also hope to have a great deal of shorter updates as well. We already have a small staff or writers who are ready to contribute.There are going to be a few things that are going to change. Many had complained about the tone of the site over the past year. I (Shatner) was one of them. The site is no longer a dictatorship, it’s an Oligarchy, and we are going to make a serious effort to brighten the tone. The people running The Hall of Manly Excellence are the same folks you know from the old forums, people like Hammer of Thor, Winbot, Motivation Man, and myself. We want to see a community where men can talk about many things and manly pursuits such as Guns, Liberty, Economics, History, Manly Movies, Tobacco, Beer etc. We want this to be the most independant, entertaining, and intelligent place for men on the internet.
